The company Bardusch from Geldern had a great idea to mark its 150th anniversary. The textile service provider distributed donations to various organizations in gratitude for its business success and long existence. We are delighted that Artemed Stiftung was chosen as one of the recipients and that our representatives from the foundation were able to officially receive the cheque at the Artemed Clinic in Kempen, the Hospital zum Heiligen Geist.

The "Irrawaddy River Docters" project selected by Bardusch in the Irrawaddy Delta of Myanmar is the only possibility for 200 patients to receive medical treatment every day. Our floating medical practice "Polli" brings health care to the people in their villages. They live away from any civil infrastructure as we know it. Only the waterways in the delta make the individual villages accessible. Many people cannot manage a visit to the doctor in the nearest town, either organisationally or financially. The people gratefully accept the opportunity to visit a doctor on a boat and receive the basic medical care that should be available to everyone. Even now, in the politically unstable situation in Myanmar , our local team helps the many people seeking help every day.
