A very special thank you to all our donors from our team in Myanmar : We received beautiful Christmas cards and thank-you notes—in Burmese with German translations by Su Su, who runs the mother-child center and is learning German.

The heartfelt messages were sent by patients and staff at Irrawaddy River Doctors and the Mother and Child Center. They show us how valuable our joint work is! Healthcare brings light into the lives of people for whom medical treatment is inaccessible and/or unaffordable. The jobs are an anchor for the medical team as well as for the captain and his crew, who steer the ship safely through the Irrawaddy River.

This week, we spoke and saw each other virtually again. On the one hand, we were in a pre-Christmas mood, but on the other hand, we were full of concern about the elections that will take place starting on December 28.
