Stove for Tanzania

 

 

Cooking is still done over an open fire on three stones, with negative effects on the climate and health, especially for women and children who are exposed to smoke – and during the rainy season, in their huts without any ventilation. For over a year, intensive work was carried out to develop an effective stove (rocket stove), the "Artejiko," which significantly reduces smoke and harmful soot particles, requires about half as much fuel, and reduces CO2 emissions by 30%.
