Christmas party of the Beekeepers' Association Munich and Surroundings starts fundraising campaign for our widow honey project.

The Imkerverein München und Umgebung e.V. currently has almost 180 members. In recent years, there has been a lively influx of young beekeepers who are allowed to set up their own bees at the training apiary over a period of two years. In addition, each young beekeeper is assigned an experienced mentor who provides advice and support on all aspects of beekeeping. With tireless dedication, the young beekeeper representative guides the beginners step by step, gives practical courses directly on the colonies and shares his knowledge with laypeople, beginners and experienced beekeepers.

Every year in December, the young beekeepers of the association organizea Christmas party. This takes place in the clubhouse at the club's training apiary in Thalkirchen. This year was no exception - but this time with a special mission: to collect and donate money for new colonies and equipment for beekeepers in faraway Africa.
The project was presented by the association's board of directors, who then called for donations. The proceeds will now go directly to the widow honey project in Tanzania. The beekeepers' association is delighted to be able to use this small contribution to help those who need help and who share their love and passion for bees.
