In October and November 2021, the collaboration with the St. Walburg`s Hospital in Tanzania intensified further. A total of 7 M.A.T.E.s from Artemed Stiftung from very different departments were on site. Dr. Anna Borys, Dr. Silke Rausch and Annelie Siepmann focused primarily on the further development of operating theatre operations and hygiene. Dr. Rausch also worked intensively on anaesthesia. Henrik Rausch and Ralph Groß were also on site to further advance the development of IT. Dr. Solveig Groß and Dr. Titania Eberle were on duty for the gynaecology department. Their aim was to provide specific knowledge on gynecological operations on the one hand and to improve prenatal care and obstetrics on the other. Together with their Tanzanian colleagues, strategies were developed in all areas that will strengthen the hospital and improve the quality of medicine.
