When all was right with the world

Exactly one year ago, Dr Beate Vollmer, a gynaecologist from Weßling, was travelling on our floating clinic Polli in the Irrawaddy Delta. In Europe there were the first restrictions because of the newly emerged disease Covid-19, in the south of Myanmar the world was still fine at that time. At least from today's point of view, because of course Dr Vollmer met great poverty and partly very sad personal fates there. But lockdown scenarios were still far away and a military coup was completely unimaginable. The Münchner Merkur reported about her time on board in the weekend edition of 6/7 March:
