The Irrawaddy River Doctors in Myanmar finally have a small rescue boat. They can use it to quickly transport emergencies and seriously injured people to one of the few clinics that is still open and where they can be helped even better than on the Polli, the floating GP surgery.
Pregnant women from the villages of the Irrawaddy Delta can also be driven to the Mother and Child Center in Bogale if there are signs of difficulties in the course of the pregnancy or a complicated birth.
We would like to thank the Tabea Hospital in Hamburg, which once again made a very generous donation to the Artemed Stiftung for the "Krankenboot" instead of buying Christmas presents.
A great Christmas present for the people of the Irrawaddy Delta who are in urgent need of medical care that goes beyond the treatment on board the River Doctors.
