Far away from the center of La Paz, the Street Doctors regularly visit elementary school to carry out check-ups, treat poorly treated injuries, infections of all kinds, rashes and common skin diseases. The dentist explains how to brush teeth properly and explains which foods attack the teeth, and checks and straightens teeth directly on site. During school visits, our medical staff look out for signs of malnutrition and abuse and react if any problems are identified. The team also provides support in finding homes where necessary.

This week, a clown came to the rolling pediatric practice, where everything is done to make the children feel comfortable despite the cramped conditions. From the colorful and child-friendly painted doctor's buses to the airplane lamp on the ceiling.

This makes a visit to the doctor really fun.
