The current developments also mean severe restrictions for our work at Artemed Stiftung . All of our volunteers' assignments abroad have been canceled until further notice. Fortunately, our teams in the projects are doing well so far and are taking excellent care of a total of around 10,000 patients every month.
In Myanmar there are still no known cases of COVID-19, in Bolivia there are regionally limited cases in the Oruro region and in Tanzania 6 cases have been confirmed so far (as at March 20, 2020). Nevertheless, it can be assumed that these countries will also be affected, with serious consequences, as the structures and medical care are not comparable to ours.
