What wonderful news from our Street Doctors in La Paz, Bolivia:

These pictures were sent to us by our local managing director, Adriana Rivas Vollger: It shows that our doctors and nurses care about much more than just providing medical care to patients. It is just as important for them to give love, hope and security to the poor and needy. That's why our team was recently on another mission: they visited Belen, sister of 14 siblings, and a girl the Street Doctors knew from a previous treatment. It was Belen's birthday and they surprised the seven-year-old with a little flying visit and a cake.

The joy and happiness of the little ones and the whole family is written all over their faces.

It's always wonderful to see what small gestures can create laughter - and as we all know: Laughter is the best medicine!
