Big day in Nyangao

What a great day at our partner hospital in Nyangao, Tanzania: Yesterday, the famous Uhuru Torch came to the small town.

The torch is carried across the nation every year during the Uhuru Torch Run to symbolically bring light and hope to the country. It is brought to various places and institutions that are characterized by particularly sustainable projects and achievements for the country. Being a station on the run therefore means great recognition and appreciation.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Tanzanian government bring the torch in the form of a real torch. This was also the case yesterday in Nyangao, where the arrival of the torch had been planned for many weeks. Fortunately, a whole team from Artemed Stiftung was also able to attend the ceremony.

We are of course delighted that St. Walburg’s Hospital was honored this year. In particular, the technical achievements of recent years, which were largely carried out through the hospital's cooperation with Artemed Stiftung , have earned the hospital this honor. Many of these measures have only been possible thanks to the generous donations to the foundation and the efforts of our volunteers. A big thank you therefore goes to the many supporters of the foundation.
