Unterstrich_grau

Dear Dr.Veronika,

I hope you are in good health. I am writing a monthly overview report for IRD December (27.11 – 17-12.23) trip and activities. This time we had big problems due to a lack of fuel, which we were not able to buy. Therefore, we continued our medical trip according to the trip schedule until the 10th of December, 2023 and then we had to went back to Bogale where we provided medical care.

The ICD result showed that there are 1329 of the general patients and 90 of the dental patients (1419 in total). Among these patients, about 2.8% (40 in number) are pregnant women taking AN care, a total of 773 boys and girls (54.5%) are 1 to 14 years old who took medical check-ups and treatment while about 0.8% (12 in number) are under one year old. We did laboratory screening test regarding comprehensive AN care to 28 pregnant women and a total of 184 patients did laboratory testing in this month trip. Moreover, we provided deworming to 500 patients in total.

During this month, our team provided the general medical treatment such as Idiopathic Anaemia, Urinary Tract Infection and Rheumatic Fever according to the signs and symptoms of the patients and the laboratory test results. Moreover, our team provided treatment for Non-Communicable diseases such as Diabetes Mellitus, Ischemic Heart Disease and Hypertension. In this month, we had random blood sugar testing to 151 patients whose BMI were above 23. And we also did Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing to 211 new patients who were above 40 years old. Furthermore, patients with acute respiratory tract infection, gastritis, acute conjunctival infection, ear infection such as otitis media, etc. came to our boat to get treatment.

In this month, a dental student helped our team to provide treatment to the patients with dental caries, shedding tooth for the children and medicated filling to those needed till 7th December, 2023.

In conclusion, thanks again to Artemed Stiftung and all donors for your continuous support and love for Myanmar operation. I am very happy to be able to work together with trust until today. I am always praying for you.

Susu
