Unterstrich_grau

Dear Dr.Veronika,

I hope you are in good health. I am writing a monthly overview report for IRD November trip and activities. In this month, we provided our medical treatment to 14 villages.

Concerning the kids, there were a total of 572 boys and girls between 1 to 15 years old who took medical check-ups and treatment while about. 28 children were less than one year old. We did screening test regarding comprehensive AN care to 38 pregnant women and a total of 444 patients did laboratory testing. Moreover, we provided deworming to 500 patients in total.

We also supported one package of baby formula milk powder and one baby milk bottle to two months old baby with cleft lip and palate whose mother’s breastfeeding is not enough for baby.

In this month, a dental student helped our team to provide treatment to the patients with dental caries, shedding tooth for the children and medicated filling to those needed.

Our team also went to two schools and provided health education to 263 students and teachers. The dentist educated the students about oral health care in both schools and Dr Phway shared his knowledge about personal hygiene to the students a primary school. Dr Lun gave health education regarding communicable diseases as well as non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, heart disease to all students and menstrual hygiene to female students. Moreover, we also provided medicated soaps to them as presents.

We had two guests from Germany this month; Dr. Anna and her colleague Mrs. Annelie. They provided some surgical demonstrations and gave worksshops about basic surgical skill and shared knowledge. With the help of Dr. Anna, we updated our medicines order list especially focusing on pregnant women and infants while being sure that every patient receives the best medicines which are affordable and available easily in the local market.

In conclusion, thanks again to Artemed Stiftung and all donors for your continuous support and love for Myanmar operation. I am very happy to be able to work together with trust until today. I always pray for you. And wishing you all sweet December.
