Unterstrich_grau

Dear Dr. Veronika,

I hope you are fine and healthy. Our June trip has successfully completed. We continued to provide medical treatment for remote villages and now, our teamarrived safely back to office station.

According to our June trip schedule, our team restarted on May 31st  and worked for 22 days. We visited about 13 villages for June trip. According to ICD result list 2019 children and adults’ patients visited us for treatements. 72 %  came for regular health issues and 28 % due to dental problems. We checked 49 pregnant women and did laboratory test for 40 of  them. In total 143 laboratory test have been done. 44 girls and boys (> 14 years) came for medical check-ups, medical and dental treatment and we helped 18 babies (< 1 year) as well. Total deworming number for June 2023 is 400.

In June our team was mainly dealing with problems related to respiratory infection, headache, Malaria, Dengue, Hepatitis, Syphilis, HIV, diabetes mellitus disease of the skin and subcutaneous tissue.

Our dental doctores helped patients with dental caries, periodontitis, gingivitis, sometimes oral ulcer and tongue ulcer due to sharp edges of the teeth, root rests, and buccally erupted maxillary last molars, and much more. We also shared knowledge about how to care teeth, and we offered medicine for some dental patients.

During this trip we also restarted the health education in schools in two different villages. If our team would not offer this service there will be nobody else educating students and villagers. As we believe health education is very important to ameliortae the health situation in our country. While visiting the schools we also distributed to the studentstooth brush and tooth paste, mosquito repellent lotion and Medisoft soap.

Since June, the rain has gradually increased, there have been many difficulties for people to find food. For the people of Myanmar, the rainy season is more difficult than any other season to fa related to manyd negative things like flooding that implies threats for lives and infrastructure. Our team is ready to help those who need medical support.

Now, we are preparing for July trip. I would like to thank to Artemed Stiftung and all donors for the continue support and love for Myanmar operation. I am very happy to be able to work together with you.

With Best Regards!

Su Su @ Myanmar

With Best regards,

Su Su
